TOILET LOCATIONS ON COURSE
We are proud to offer participants at the Brisbane Marathon Festival with multiple toilet access points throughout the course. Below are the following locations you can expect to find relief along the way:

Orleigh Park (100m off course): 12km | 33.5km

42.2km marathon

Start on Alice St running south towards Edward St. Continue on to Margaret St and turn right onto George St continuing along heading south up Mary St. Continue onto Creek St and turn right into Edward St and continue onto Queen St and turn Right at Ivory St up to the Bradfield Highway and onto the historic Story Bridge. Runners cross the Story bridge, then turn right at Thornton St onto Main St.

Turn Right onto Holman St for a lap of beautiful Captain Burke Park. Continue on towards Hamilton St following the boardwalk along the river. Enjoy a brief view of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs before continuing on to Lower River Tce and Dock St turning right into Stanley St.

At the Goodwill Bridge continue straight into the stunning South Bank Arbour through to Clem Jones Promenade. Continue along the river through South Bank to the boardwalk at the famous QLD Museum. Continue along the flat and fast Riverside Drive for a 3km up to Hill End Tce. Make a U-Turn on Orleigh St before making your way into Montague Rd. Continue for 2km before turning left into Jane St back onto Riverside Drive. Get ready to tackle the Go Between Bridge hill, before catching your breath on the way down the other side. Turn left onto the cyclepath back under the bridge to the floating walkway for 2km. At
19km turn left up Gardens Point Rd for a 2.1km lap of the City Botanic Gardens. Grab some extra motivation as you hear the Brisbane Riverstage crowds cheering.

Lap 2
At the half way mark, turn left over the Goodwill Bridge. Follow the river by turning left towards Lower River Terrace. Loop around Holman St and Captain Burke Park where you can see other runners returning along Lower River Terrace. Continue towards Dock St and Stanley St and again enter South Bank at the Arbour through to Clem Jones Promenade. Continue as first lap along boardwalk onto Riverside Dr. Make a U-Turn before Montague Rd and back along Riverside Drive to Bouquet St and over the Go Between Bridge.

Turn right along the cycle path towards the Regatta Hotel on Coronation Dr before your final U-Turn for your final flat 4km to becoming a marathoner. Enjoy the beautiful Brisbane Riverfront for the last time, before veering left into the Brisbane Riverstage where you can call yourself a marathoner.

Enjoy a brief view of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs before continuing on to Lower River Tce and Dock St turning right into Stanley St. At approximately 7km turn right over Goodwill Bridge. Continue up Gardens Point Rd hill at 8km for your final 2km lap of the beautiful City Botanic Gardens. Grab some extra motivation as you hear the Brisbane Riverstage crowds cheering. Make a final right hand turn into the Brisbane Riverstage to enjoy post event celebrations.

5km Run/Walk

Starting in the beautiful Botanic Gardens near the top entrance to the Riverstage. Participants will run the perimeter of the gardens alongside the riverfront. Once your lap is complete, get ready to embark on your journey over the river via the Goodwill Bridge. This will connect you to the Southbank side of the city.

Make a left turn towards the spectacular Kangaroo Point cliffs, where you can see some of Brisbane’s brave scaling the cliffs which hang adjacent to the Brisbane River. A U-turn will set you back on your path towards home.

Get ready for the cheering crowds of the Brisbane Riverstage where you will complete your 5km journey of Brisbane City.

2.2km Kids Mini-Mara

The Brisbane Kids 2.2km Mini-Mara will be starting in the beautiful Botanic Gardens near the top entrance to the Riverstage. Kids will all be off in a mass start of excitement before a enjoy part of the course the adults do with a lap of the City Botanic Gardens. Parents are welcome to join in with their children for support. The exciting spectacle of seeing the kids be crowned as a Mini-Mara finisher at the Brisbane Marathon Festival.
